A flip phone for my 13 year old. Pinwheel phone in high school.
Wherever you start, week be the floor and you'll get pressure every year to go up from there. Start with the bare minimum...flip phone. Trust all the parents on here warning caution.

We usually start with Gabb and then move to iphone when they're 16. But Gabb GPS sucks and at time (maybe still)
