Cam Ward was widely considered the best college QB in the country this season and he had no accolades coming out of high school. BYU's current starter had no interest coming out of high school and he is a pretty good QB.

Are you saying Burton should've gone to Junior College to accumulate accolades in order to validate his D1 offers? I get it, you weren't a fan of him as a prospect when he signed, but being All-State is not the separating factor you think it is. The likes of Josh Allen & Aaron Rodgers weren't on anyone's radar, let alone anywhere close to being named all-state. They simply had the physical tools that meant they had potential and they developed those tools to become great QBs. I'm not saying Burton is one of those guys, but to write him off because he wasn't all-state is not a great standard to judge pure talent.
