successful HS QBs who did not go on to play anywhere post HS from his class. Like most good HS football players — High school football is usually the end of the road and should have been for him as well.
He should have never been given a scholarship offer by BYU for the same reasons other programs didn’t extend him an offer. But because of BYU’s generosity, he was afforded a valuable scholarship, was given experiences he normally wouldn’t have and extended enough legitimacy for him to land at WVU which he was once again, not talented enough for to begin with.
The guy has gotten an awful lot of mileage out of John Beck and Arod believing in him but he will never crack the top 3 on any depth chart.
