schools wanting his services out of HS should tell us plenty of his talent level.
Ryder was an above average to slightly good HS QB and that’s it. I can’t for the life of me see any objective reason for anyone to have believed that he would somehow go from average to good HS QB to starting D1 quality QB.
I’m not knocking on the kid by the way — just saying that for every athlete there is an end of the road. Somehow he’s figured out ways to stretch his far beyond where he should have where majority of athletes of his talent would have been long done by now.
