But with all the crap that was going on in that program in 2017 nobody would have been successful. Let alone all the injuries that happened to the offense. I would have liked to have seen Detmer given another year.

All you Kalani apologists like to say you had to give him time to get his recruits and figure things out and can’t hold the first few years against him. Why doesn’t Detmer get that benefit.

And for the record, back in 2017 when Kalani spent every press conference blaming Detmer and the players, not once did Detmer blame anyone but himself. He always took the responsibility and talked about how he needed to get better. That’s a true leader.

The evidence doesn’t show improvement for KS. All it does is show that he will protect his buddy over the good of the program.

He’s proven to be a poor recruiter. Poor at details (see the many examples just from this last year that have to do with cleats) poor at accountability and responsibility, poor at hiring assistants, poor at scheming and on-field decisions.

What exactly has he proven he’s good at? The only thing is hiring and protecting his buddies.
