the other HCs, but they (Vball is a different story) stepped up to B12 competition in year one and were competitive. FB at 2-7 was uncompetitive. Nobody is expecting a confernece championship out of FB or BB right away--just be competitive since you they all had 2+ years to prepare. Sure coaching the FB team is harder than other sports. That's why Sitake is paid millions each year and given huge resources.

The apologists may be happy with collapses and underperformance (like 7-6 seasons in Indy) so long as the HC reps BYU well. Some of us expect more than average performance.
