He has stronger history and connections there. His recruits are here. Both would be the same position/role. Utah has a history of paying above market. BYU has history of not doing so, but obviously has new money and appears to have a new mindset.
So it's possible he would go, possible he wouldn't. But whether he did or not, it wouldn't keep him from being considered for or coming back for the head coach role. So I don't worry too much about it either way
