Shouldn’t they move in w/the kids & then slowly move out with small trips home?
Don’t dogs just reincarnate to come back to another family anyway? I think they adapt well to this, better than wolves do.

I don’t think they understand at all. If you say goodbyes it will get them anxious because it’s not part of the routine.
