It's true.
I'm sure there must be a couple schools that have similarly large seating areas with no donation requirement but I haven't seen one. Maryland came to mind as one that probably has a pretty low # of donation required seats so I checked. It's pretty decent but nowhere near what BYU has allowed.
Interesting that the first few rows on the sidelines are non donor seats. Never seen that before. Makes sense as those are terrible seats.

In the past endzone seats were renewable by the ticket holder each year. Next year all seats will be up for grabs
