I wonder what the cost of starter homes would be today if the homes were
like the starter homes of past generations. Smaller size, despite larger families. 1980's median home size was under 2,000 sf. with more bare-bones amenities. In 2022 it was 2537 sf.

For college kids, more and more student housing is doing away with shared bedrooms, because nobody wants to share a room. Ewww.

There is a lot that's tougher in today's world, no doubt. But it doesn't have to be as tough as a lot of people are making it.
