Minimum wage. LoL. Is there anyone left in America working for minimum wage? FF
type businesses are begging people to work and even when paying above minimum wage not even including tips and bonuses.

People worried so much about “child labor” that now kids don’t want to lift a finger other than the occasional middle finger.

When I was in junior high and high school it was tough to find a job doing anything including pumping gas. Yes. Pumping gas used to be a job. Now most kids will not work.

I recently observed a high school girl hired. She was asked to fold little pink boxes and stack them on a shelf - empty boxes.

“I can’t reach that high”. Did you use the ladder? “No”. Let’s see you try to reach that high. She easily could reach it without the ladder.

Later, she was assigned to wash dishes. Staring at the sink, “I can’t do this”. Could not explain why she “could not do these things everyone else was doing”.

Left early. Never returned.

Kids do not show up for shifts. Don’t even call in. Show up late. Stand around. Waste time. Rude to customers and co-workers. Need constant supervision. Many are college students. Some quit. Too hard. Some get fired. Huge turnover rate.

This is the number one challenge of small service businesses today. And they pay well above minimum wage. Minimum wage is meaningless today.
