For success. It will take a few years.
But the nice thing is that if that success doesn't come it doesn't matter.
On field success is not paramount to BYU. BYU is far bigger than football. The games I mentioned were important to me not because BYU won or had great seasons those years.
The games were awesome because of the people that I attended with. My sons each have gone to an epic BYU victory at an away venue. The games were awesome because opposing fans walk away saying, "wow y'all are the nicest fans I've ever seen. And y'all travel well. I didn't think y'all would make the trip out from Utah. And my son blurts out were from California. The games were awesome because of the pregame golf round i get to play at a new course. New food.
So yeah we've done nothing the past 20 and likely will never do anything again for the next 20. Suits me (and BYU) just fine.
