The world is not a meritocracy

Opportunities to grow and succeed are not based on merit. That's true for almost everything in life. And it's true for football.

Utah got their opportunity going to the PAC, and BYU didn't and had to go independent. Now BYU is getting their chance with the B12. Utah may be left out if the PAC is kicked out of the power crowd. None of this was based on merit. Life isn't fair. Arguing for opportunities based on merit is delusional.
