paid everything they should pay under the contract. I have had to make a few phone calls over the years to get some clarification.
Usually it is just people not understanding that an insurance policy is a contract and what that contract says.
I don't know a single person who ever reads their policy when they buy it. Yet they are shocked when it doesn't cover something. We can continue to complain or understand that if we insure everything our insurance will be much more expensive.
Do insurance companies make money? Yes.
Do they pay executives too much money? Yes.
Do they deny claims they shouldn't? Yes.
But the biggest problem is people keep buying something without reading the contract. And often do so to save a few bucks, then complain it doesn't cover what they want or assumed it would.
