I heard him on the radio, and what I recall was him defending the play call and design. I didn't believe a word but kinda thought "O.K., don't buy it but way to stick up for coach & QB."
Perhaps this was a different interview. Maybe I just missed the comment in question on this thread.
Even so, I'd say Chase can acknowledge reality--we all saw that JR missed the throw by a mile--and yet not trash the coaching staff (as I am. Because the call was complete trash) or the QB's decision to throw.
I may not even be referring to the right interview, but from what I actually heard, I felt Roberts was taking the high road.
