A fade is popular when you have the height because you throw it to the outside of the WR/TE who is drifting outside. It’s high so the defenders can’t undercut it
It should either be caught by receiver or it just goes out. Throwing it inside is the opposite of a fade
It’s supposed to be like an outside jump ball. It either goes out or gets caught. It should be closer to going out than getting picked
