One thing I do fault Kalani for is that he tried far too long to bring Tuiaki up to speed. He tried so many different things and finally, had to get rid of him. I blame Tuiaki for most of that by banking on Kalani's loyalty to him and not working harder to be better, but ultimately, Kalani takes the blame. OTOH, Kalani finally made the move when more money was on the horizon and got us an excellent defensive DC and staff. Let's see what they can do now.
A HC does NOT need to be responsible for one side of the ball. He needs very good assistants so he can focus on the overall team.
