and those 18 year old frat boys are largely who grow up to be the biggest demographic later on.
the older guys are fans because when they were college students, college football and college gameday was actually about college. it was about the atmosphere. it was about the students.
if you can’t get the people who are living it to be engaged, when they grow up, nobody is gonna be engaged.
i’m not saying everyone should be like pat. but someone has to bring the energy. someone has to relate to the students. if you get rid of that, nobody is gonna watch in 10 years.
