“Never” is a strong word. If BYU breaks through and has an undefeated season/

… /deep playoff run or two and is consistently ranked and Utah falls off, the Cougs stand to pick up a lot of fans in a quickly growing region of the country, and some casual fans like Oregon got when they rose to prominence.

Very unlikely, but I wouldn’t say “never.”
