The success, given the inherent limitations, is phenomenal. And it stands for something far greater. I've always been uber confident, and I have the posts to prove it over the last several years, that BYU would go Big XII.
There's too much value and uniqueness there to pass it up.
I think BYU will lock in great QBs in the new conference and consistently be one of the better performers.
Then with the new conference, sneak in some Texas speed and lock in transfers like that one RB from South Carolina.
Different story but same vibe for Utah. The epitome of a no-name, no history, nothing special, middling WAC program from a small population state.
From the Final Four to Urban, to the Sugar Bowl and then to be the champion in the best west coast conference is amazing. Showing how blue collar, tough, earn-your-way upward mobility is possible in the elitist, pompous world CFB is an awesome story.
I don't see how people feel threatened or try to diminish such an overachievement story.
