I lived in a house at BYU that had a shower window. Started 4-5 feet or so up,
no frosted glass or anything like that. It was kinda weird but it was a cheap room so didn’t care. We were on the 2nd floor and the next building over either didn’t have a 2nd floor or didn’t have any windows on the 2nd floor in that area (can’t remember which but it wasn’t an issue). If random ppl showered there we tried to warn them but didn’t always remember. One time some girls showered there and they said they just kinda leaned down a bit. Honestly they’d need to be like 7+ feet tall for it to have been an issue for someone from the ground looking up, and after a minute or two the window just fogged up anyway.

Anyone have or put in a master bath where the tub & shower are combined in one "wet room" like this?

We’re considering doing the same thing. We have a giant jetted tub now and a tiny shower and I hate it.

We would use larger tile (12x24 at least) & maybe a drop in tub w/ platform (easier for short old people to get in).
