So I'm a Samsung Galaxy guy. I keep buying them simply because they work and never cause me problems.

My wife and kids all have apples, because image is a thing. It seems like I'm always trying to figure out why they're phones and pads don't work.

We just bought our youngest his first phone for his birthday this month. iphone 16. He is going to an out of state soccer tournament today, so I told him to text me when his plane lands. Of course it is at this point he remembers his texts to me don't go through. He's had the phone about 2 weeks. He's texted me, but it didn't work and he hasn't bothered to tell us until now.



He can text to apple just fine, because of course he can. He just can't text androids, because of course he can't. Leave it to apple to mess up the very basic function of a mobile phone. It can't just work, you have to turn on sms or mms or whatever. Apple products are too dumb to do that automatically.

So I tried turning it on, but can't find it anywhere in settings. Everytime I Google it, it says to go to settings then messages. There is no such thing on his phone. He finally had to go to school so I gave up.

Do apple people know what they're missing? I never have to worry about that stuff. But as long as you're in the exclusive cool kids club, I guess it doesn't matter.
