I'm all for discrediting Utah but gymnastics is a big deal in the women's sports
realm. Being the best out of the best 62 teams is still worthy of being called a national champion. I can get behind the 1944 basketball argument, but it feels disingenuous to discredit their gymnastics success.
PLUS in 1995 (the year of their last championship, there were only 108 D1 schools, so 62 is "the majority."
In our pursuit of attacking Utah, there are enough valid arguments to show their issues without misrepresenting the truth.
