but if it was my daughter and some creep went to the lengths of locating her and calling her work, I'd call the guy back and tell him to leave her the heck alone. Maybe he didn't do anything that time, but now he knows where she works. He's much less likely to do something if he knows YOU know who he is, where he lives, etc.

In this day and age of creeps, I'm not taking any chances.

Edit: her manager needs a good slap back to common sense, too.
