Yes the early 90s were closer to the 80s. The 90s saw the bottom of scoring in the NBA culminating with 91.6 points per
game per team in '98-'99. With the worst shooting and slowest pace the game has ever seen. Oh if we could only have those days back when there were 45% more free throws and far less dunks. Most centers struggled to shoot outside of 5 feet and were meant to simply clog up the middle.

Instead of plays involving movement and all 5 involved it was the era of isolation. Throw it to your best guy and watch him dribble 5 or 10 times trying to make a play. It was a terrible brand of basketball.
