what was played in the 90s.
For most of you it is simply nostalgia. Just like the previous generation thought 80s basketball was better than 90s basketball (and it probably was).
Corruption was rampant back in the 90s as well. Jordan describes his first team (this was obviously 80s) as a bunch of crackheads who were high on most nights. You had David Stern running things and whatever Stern wanted he got. He wanted Ewing in New York? Done!
The NBA needs to figure out what a defensive foul is and isn't. No doubt about that. It is a major issue. But in the 1990s perhaps the best defensive team of that era's plan to stop the best player that ever lived was to beat the crap out of him. That isn't basketball. That should never be basketball.
I mean you want to talk about idiocy. The Chicago Bulls broke up one of the most dominant teams of all-time because the GM wanted more of the spotlight. That is crazy!
Yes the Jazz were better in the 1990s than they are today. Of course they were led by a guy who should have been in jail for rape on a 13 year-old and had another guy who liked to impersonate police officers.
The list goes on and on. You see what you want to see about players, conspiracies and everything else.
