What is missing today is the passion, the rivalries, and the love of the game.
It is too business like now.
The athletics is definitely better. Faster and stronger in general. But they call the game differently too. Every ball coming up the court today would be called for 7 carries in the 80s.
The issue now is these guys are all buddies. There is far less care about building a team or representing a city. Just a different type of game today.
