In my 40;years in the business,I have seen them rise and fall. Some of the
most famous ones at one time, most of you never heard of.
Before social media they were bragging about their successes mainly on CNBC and other outlets. Then later they disappeared, at least on TV.
Heard a great deal about the person who shorted the subprime mortgages. Money flowed into his hedge fund only to take a big loss on his bet on gold.
