And everyone wants to win and move on. The closeness of scores tells me it's likely March Madness. And no, 14 teams should not have been in...12...10...sure...and the bigger point is its not good for college bb and also discredits the selection process.
Not to mention there is little difference between an 8 and 9 seed or 10 and 7 seed...if they had more 12 thru 14 seeds and played close games then I think there is merit to 14 teams. But most were seeded actually pretty favorably when one considers they "earned" over 20% of the bids out of 68.
You could look at most of their bottom half seeds as seeded up so rather than facing a 6 5 4 or 3 seed, the bottom half of the conference mostly faced faced 7_10 seeds for the most part, I think, but could be wrong.
