30-4 vs ACC and 131-8 vs all others.
How else can you measure a conference other than how they fair against those out of conference? Every conference game has a winner and a loser. When the SEC’s worst team loses 3 total games out of conference, and the top 8 teams combine for 5 total losses, what other conclusion can you come to than they’re strong top to bottom?
Final point: cheering against conferences to try and “tear down a so called ‘false’ narrative” is jealous and little brother behavior. I live in SEC country; guess who’s not even a second thought in the mind of anyone around here: the Big 12 (or any other conference for that matter). Even after being promoted to a (second tier) big boy conference, BYU fans still participate in lil bro behavior: obsessed with following Pope and Kentucky, play-by-play of every game but how “boring” and “sloppy” they are. Hopping on other fan boards and feeling it necessary to post what they “find out”. Actively cheering against those who have sustained success (see: “I hate UConn AND the SEC.. I can’t decide who to hate more” … sub UNC for UConn during the first 4 and it was the same comment). Come on now, I grew up loving BYU but as times gone on it’s becoming cringy trying to reason with extremely uneducated fans. It screams jealous ex-girlfriend, scorned/rejected lover.
