when Dallin came home from his mission, he was Rudi Williams backup. Rudi got benched halfway through the year and then Pope tried to salvage his role at the end of the season by benching Hall.
Then, when Hall was injured to start the year, Trey was told he was the starter who would be moved to the backup as Hall returned. Trey played well enough to keep his spot and then Pope benched him and put him at the end of the bench. Trey came in vs cincinnati and wasn't good, and Pope threw him back to the bench again. Then when Pope would be up huge in games, he wouldn't pull started until the game had less than a minute. That is when Trey told him no to going in.
Pope refused to develop depth when he would blow out teams by inserting guys, but then he complained about not having depth.
