I guess just comfort because of the whole "violation" thought of it. I scheduled mine with an endoscopy, I wouldn't
want that with just a local.
Whatever drug they use, you really aren't under deep, so it's not like you are totally knocked out. You won't have your family making fun of you as you wake up as if you are on some acid trip. You wake up, listen to the doctor's report and go home.
