Likely did what the majority of doctors out there would have done, the time line is just off. Probably because the patient waited and waited.
If you only knew the huge volume of benign we see in primary care...the dollars associated with working up everything would be astronomical. Consider...do I do viral testing on the 5 sick patients I see everyday to the tune of an extra $200 per patient? What about screening for other causes of hypertension on a 50 year old newly diagnosed? These zebras exist and can be deadly if caught late, but the costs would totally bankrupt and already disastrous Healthcare industry.
