Went to see their doctor. The doctor chalked it to a few random things and sent her on her way. The eyelid only got worse.
She went back a 2nd time after it was getting worse asking if it was cancer and the doctor told her “no it’s not cancer it wouldn’t look like that”, told her it maybe a few other things and sent her on her way.
Her eye only got worse and she went back a 3rd time demanding to get it biopsied.
Sure enough it’s a very aggressive cancel and they immediately sent her into surgery and removed her eyelid. It’s sebaceous cell carcinoma, which can be very fatal. They’re terrified right now. She’s had this for like a year.
I feel like this a common story I’ve heard before. Why are some doctor’s so reluctant to check for cancer early on?? I feel like ruling out cancer should be one of the very first things doctors do.
