I’ve been reading a lot about Nissan lately as we might buy one - from what I can tell they’ve been sort of unfairly

Maligned across the board as a result of their poorly designed CVT transmissions that came out 10-15 years ago. Those cars definitely were crap but it sounds like they’ve fixed those issues and the non-CVT models haven’t had many issues.

When I asked our mechanic about Nissan he just said “they’re fine just never get one of them ugly-(butt) crossovers”

I feel the same way about Honda. Loved our '84 Accord, it went 360k+ miles and we gave it away running, and by the end

Honda's trajectory has been in the wrong direction for a decade. They are living off of their 80s/90s reputation, right

I’ve owned one Nissan. 2002 Nissan Maxima. It was fast but tons of problems.

CVTs are awful even when they aren’t faulty.

Agree, I’ll never get one. Seems that transmissions are far more likely to cause issues in any vehicle than an engine

My dad was over the vehicles in his mission and the worst vehicle was the Nissan Rogue, they had multiple that had to go
