You don't need to run Truplay (so there is no need for an iPhone and Android works fine)
For my Sono's setup (Arc, two Subs, two Eros 300's) i followed a few guides on AVS forums (tweaking a few settings like rear height, sub levels, speech enhancement.. etc) which turns off the Truplay settings.... that gives a better movie and music experience.
