I'm getting too old, $700 for a two-channel wi-fi amp/receiver? My Yamaha runs circles around it, is 7.2 ATMOS and
with Bluetooth you can run it with whatever OS you want on any device that can connect via HDMI, Bluetooth, or even Coax. It was roughly the same the price (on sale).
It doesn't have a cool "app" though and I can't control my music from 1000 miles away, but I usually like being in the same room my music is playing.
So sell me on the Sonos. What does it offer that a regular receiver can't do?
Is the Sonos more of a hub that connects to all your other devices? I can almost understand that, but using it as a receiver/amplifier it seems drastically overpriced vs. feature set.
