that will be used quite a bit for photo editing. My daughter is doing an internship for a local sports media group and takes photos at all of the sporting events at her high school.

I added new ram and replaced the battery into an older laptop that my son had a college but it still struggles with the photo editing software. So I have started looking at MacBooks. I have no desire to spend the amount a new one will cost, I have already spent all that money on camera gear. Most of that I think is still mine, at least I'm pretty sure she is just borrowing it, but you never really know with kids, especially daughters.

Anyway, I've been looking at Amazon for renewed MacBook Pro's and they are all 2018-2020 models.

How well will a 4-6 year old Mac do running lightroom and other photo editing software. It looks like most that I've seen have 16GB ram and a 512GB SSD so that seems ok, she'll keep the finished photos on an external drive and in cloud storage.

I haven't ever owned a Mac, but I imagine someone here may have.
