He wasn’t high on the list to replace LaVell. The job was Crowton’s. He was
offered the job when Bronco was hired but he expressed concerns about recruiting to BYU. He said he didn’t believe he could be successful at BYU with the honor code. Full stop.
I think if he comes to BYU he is done in 4-5 years.
