...with all of the associated benefits of being P5, all while BYU wandered in the wilderness of Independence, and even with all of those advantages for more than a decade, UU is roughly on the same level as BYU as far as program strength (and given success of the two teams this season, you could argue that they are maybe below where BYU is now).

If Whitt was the incredible coach that you make him out to be, UU shouldn't be 1-8 in conference play with a major rebuild ahead of them over the next few years.

Plus, he's an arrogant, petty jerk so I'm glad he turned down BYU all those years ago.
