I have no idea where we would be. Bronco was a great coach for us in our late-MWC years and pretty solid during independence. If Whitt comes to BYU and has the same success he had at Utah (for the most part), what keeps him at BYU when USC and others came calling? BYU as an independent didn't prevent us from losing Bronco to UVa, so if Whitt had the same success at BYU as he had at Utah, he doesn't stick around long-term.

I think Whitt leaves during independence even if we hired him instead of Bronco.
