Yeah I don't think so. If the same TY Detmer when he was college age played for BYU this year, I think given the change
in talent, the way the game is played and the physical level vs decades ago, BYU would have lost more games this season.

Something to think about when Ty actually played:

Ty Detmer threw 11 interceptions during his freshman year, 10 interceptions during his sophomore year, 10 interceptions during his junior year (when he won the Heisman Trophy), and 4 interceptions during his senior year at BYU, totaling 35 interceptions throughout his college career.

Jake Retzlaff, the quarterback for the BYU Cougars, has thrown three interceptions in 2023 and three interceptions in 2024

I think if Ty were to play in today's game his interception stats would actually climb vs drop. The pitchforks and torches would be out among fans wanting Sitake's head on a platter.
