I have to add one small addition. They didn't fall in (to the PAC-12) just because of bigotry, they fell in because Texas and Oklahoma didn't accept the publicly-made invitation to join the PAC-12 and the PAC panicked and added Colorado and Utah in desperation and to save face of the promised expansion and power conference. They were the fourth option in the first place and nothing more than that. And they tried to convince themselves and everyone else of their superiority as they out-recruited and routinely beat BYU during their time in the PAC-12.
