you can do a couple different things. Assume the sale (aka presumptive close)
and just start suggesting things that normal couples do. For instance after a study session ask, "You hungry? I'm starved! Wanna get something to eat?" Just keep building off of each success.
The other direction you can go is just put your cards out there and be brave, ask her where she's at and tell her where you're at.
