Yes. Possible girlfriend is much more valuable than a non-romantic female friend

from college. Friends are great, but they have a short shelf-life (I don't maintain any friendships with girls I knew in college.) A 20% chance of dating and a 1% chance of marriage is hugely valuable and has a lot more sticking power for your future life and experiences. That's how I think of it.
