I have the same issue with mine when the sunlight is very bright and from a specific angle, based on time of day
I haven't noticed it with the wall switch. I suspect a bright sunray somehow gets through the door and hits the laser receptor.

There is usually a light that flashes when something is wrong. The number of times it flashes will indicate the problem

I don't see any flashing ever, I know what you mean, like if something is in the way of the safety laser you get
