They no longer have an undeserved P5 advantage over their in state rival. Kyle Whittingham is close to retirement. His sign stealing doesn't work anymore. His overly aggressive DB play and OL holding isn't a competitive advantage anymore. And they're in a more difficult conference. They will have a chance to compete in the conference like everybody else and they won't be a bottom dweller, but their free ride is over and there isn't much that is special about them.
