BYU and Iowa State wouldn't have played each other, so do they go to other tie breaker rules?

Yes, if KState beats Iowa State and they both only have 1 loss it gets

I think when considering 3 teams, all teams have to have played each other

You would have to look at the multi-team tiebreaker process with three 8-1 teams

Let's say BYU loses to UCF, and BYU, K State, and Iowa State all
