Let's say BYU loses to UCF, and BYU, K State, and Iowa State all
end with 1 loss and it's K State beating ISU. Obviously head to head doesn't help in that scenario since we haven't played ISU. I think next metric is record against next highest teams, and that doesn't seem to work...so is that a situation where they'd go to that 3rd party analytics company they use?
