$9M might make sense... but if we have $9M to spend couldn't we find 2 guys who are ranked 10th or so in the class and
tell them we'll pay each of them $2M per year if they agree to stay for 2 years. Wouldn't we be better off with a deal like that? That second year seems to make a big difference.
Having a hall of famer come from BYU would be great (and really help the program)... but nothing helps more than winning. And getting two studs for two years might produce more wins.
